John Wright
PGA Head Golf Professional
(540) 338-4653 x5
[email protected]
John Wright grew up and schooled in Indiana, and has been playing golf since he was three. Soon after, his Dad and Uncle would tee up and catch drives in a baseball glove for family entertainment.  He has a B.A. from DePauw University, and a Master's Degree from Ball State University. While at DePauw, John was a two-time All-American. Soon after, he won the Western Amateur Qualifier and made the thirty six hole cut, but fell short of match play by a shot. His thirty-third place finish put him in the top 50 amateurs in the country until life entered the frame.

After graduate school, John began his career in sales and marketing. Then, needing to recapture the familiar, he entered the golf business, and moved up through the business of semi-private, high-end private, and teaching positions. John has mastered everything there is to do in the golf business, and is glad to bring those skill sets to Stoneleigh Golf and Country Club.

John also plays the guitar, writes for his golf web site, www.openstanceacademy.com, and is selling his other, investment site. Don't be shy about talking economics, politics, or any other topic, as John is versed in it all. He admits to being kind of a current events geek.

Jeremy Hastings
Golf Course Superintendent
[email protected]

In the early 1980’s Jeremy was taught the game of golf by his grandfather, and has been hooked ever since. As an avid golfer growing up, he knew he wanted to be involved with the game in some fashion for the rest of life. Growing up with parents and grandparents involved with tennis and golf, summers were spent playing golf on the course at Pensacola Naval Air Station in Florida and Navy Marine Golf Course in Honolulu, Hawaii learning the game. After moving from Hawaii and a short stint in culinary school the knifes were wrapped up and he enrolled in Penn States Turf program.

Moving to the Mid-Atlantic after school to be close to family has served as a great destination to hone his skills as a future superintendent. Jeremy has been involved himself with public and professional tournaments. He has played in few local amateur VSGA tournaments for recreation. He has also volunteered for maintenance positions during the USGA Amateur Public Links and PGA AT&T National. Taking advantage of every opportunity he has worked his way up from the low person on the staff to an Assistant Superintendent in Northern Virginia and Maryland. To further his career, he then made the jump to a Superintendent on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. This growth through the industry will well equip him for managing Stoneleigh Golf and Country Club into the future.
